But Have You Read the Book?: Romance Edition

Kristen Lopez’s But Have You Read the Book? has a new sequel entitled, But Have You Read the Book?: Romance Edition. As the title implies, like its initial volume, this book focuses on romantic films and their prior literary counterparts.

This book presents itself in a way that is fitting for romance with a lovely cover and illustrations throughout, in addition to a brief narrative about each film and its book iteration. Altogether, there are 40 books-to-films covered, with a roster of classic and contemporary films.

This book is recommended to film fans who are looking to expand their reading or viewing of romantic films. As a fan of classic films, more contemporary films tend to be ones I haven’t seen yet, so this book is a nice way to gauge interest for future film viewings (or books to be read!).
