Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. was founded on April 4, 1923, now celebrating its centennial year. In 100 years of moviemaking at the studio, much has been accomplished. Numerous iconic classic Hollywood stars worked as contract players at this studio, in addition to this same studio ushering in the sound era with The Jazz Singer (1923) and forever changing cinema.

There is much to celebrate regarding this storied studio that has been active for 100 years and Mark A Vieira’s Warner Bros.: 100 Years of Storytelling is a fitting tribute. With a foreword by Ben Mankiewicz and ample stunning photographs, this book examines the history of Warner Bros. (with much to say about cinematic history) by exploring one decade of the studio’s history in each chapter. This book discusses Warner Bros. from the past to the present, showcasing the many successes and challenges within the studio, its top stars, technological achievements, notable hits and flops, as well as contemporary releases.

Lavishly illustrated with production photographs and publicity stills, this book is sure to captivate the mind and eye–just as Warner Bros. has been doing for the past century.
