TCM Underground

While Turner Classic Movies (TCM) connects audiences of the present to great classic films and performances of the past, TCM also occasionally showcases classic cult and late-night cinema films. In this TCM series, TCM profiles the shocking, campy, and strangely wonderful cult films that have entertained viewers over the years.

In TCM Underground: 50 Must-See Films from the World of Classic Cult and Late-Night Cinema, authors Millie De Chirico and Quatoyiah Murry examine the film output of the 1960s-1980s. The book highlights 50 films with reviews and production stories to give readers information about the film and the context in which the film was produced.

In addition to including many photographs to supplement the book, the book itself is extremely varied in its film selection. Here, readers can learn about Blacula (1972), Xanadu (1980), Polyester (1981), and many more films with cut followings.

This book is sure to entertain fans of cult classics and late-night cinema looking to revisit some of their favorite cult films or to learn about ones that are new to them.
