Welcome to the Busby Berkeley Blogathon!

Hometowns to Hollywood is thrilled to present its first official blogathon, entitled “The Busby Berkeley Blogathon.” Busby Berkeley was an American director and choreographer known for devising elaborate musical production numbers that often involved complex geometric patterns. His works used large numbers of showgirls and props as fantasy elements in kaleidoscopic on-screen performances. The Busby Berkeley Blogathon runs from January 25th through January 28th in 2018.

Upon posting our announcement introducing this blogathon, Hometowns to Hollywood has received a terrific response from numerous talented classic film writers. Their contributions will be posted here throughout the duration of the blogathon in the order in which they are received. Happy reading!

    Hey Annette,

Health problems have sabotaged my entry, which I’m very disappointed to say won’t be done by end of day. Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience. I’m going to try to get it done in the next couple of days, but it won’t make the blogathon. Looking forward to reading the other entries, and so psyched for your fabulous idea to do a Buzz blogathon! Thanks for doing it!
