
There are few media rental shops today and even fewer that double as movie museums. Movie Madness Video in Portland, Oregon, is one of those special standouts. It celebrates film history through the display of a fabulous private collection and the circulation of classic and contemporary films.
The store opened in 1991 by film editor Mike Clark and remains a fascinating location for a classic film fan to visit. While there are some contemporary pieces on display in addition to an array of horror-related props, there are also numerous film costumes and props with deep connections to Hollywood’s Golden Age.


Yes, there are rental options aplenty–and even movie screenings–but my favorite aspect of this shop is the beautiful range of classic Hollywood costumes.
