The Musicals of Cole Porter

Fans of Cole Porter can delight in a wonderful new book about this prolific composer’s musicals.

Bernard F. Dick’s The Musicals of Cole Porter: Broadway, Hollywood, Television is a thoroughly researched book that delves into the many stories behind the productions of Porter’s musicals. Here, Dick discusses Porter’s musicals–many of which will be familiar to fans of Porter, but also including those that are not examined or performed as often. Dick informs readers of their plots and key information about the productions in addition to illuminating the successes and challenges behind each.

Dick does not disappoint with this fabulous installment in his already impressive bibliography of publications with the University Press of Mississippi.
