PLOT: Two unemployed, 20’s era Chicago jazz musicians, Joe (Tony Curtis) and Jerry (Jack Lemmon) accidentally witness the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, and must flee from gangsters. They masquerade as women, and join Sweet Sue’s all-girl jazz band which is travelling that night to a gig in Florida. The cross-dressing duo’s lives are further complicated when Joe falls for voluptuous singer ‘Sugar Kane’ Kowalczyk (Marilyn Monroe), but can’t reveal his true identity, and Jerry, as ‘Daphne,’ attracts a rich suitor who won’t take ‘No,’ for an answer.
